Performando o espaço (in)visível

Teatro em grego antigo significa lugar de onde se vê, lugar para se ver. Um lugar onde interpretações, sensações, compreensões são constantemente construídos em relação direta com o que se põe diante de dos olhos. Um lugar com muitas camadas, o teatro assim como o espaço da galeria oferece um aqui compartilhado, cujos contornos são constantemente transformados através de ações e dos códigos de se estar junto em um lugar de onde se vê.

Neste workshop o foco será discutir as condições de visibilidade e invisibilidade aplicadas aos espaços de exposição e de apresentação, assim como ao espaço público em geral. Os regimes de atenção e a relação entre arquitetura e experiência serão os pontos chaves para se compreender os contextos, perspectivas e ações que tornam um espaço performático, público ou simplesmente privado. Os participantes são convidados a se engajar em discussões, exibição de vídeos, trabalho prático de criação e experiências em espaços urbanos e de exposição/apresentação.

Parte do workshop poderá decorrer no exterior.

Performance and space – making things (in)visible

Theater in ancient Greek means a place for viewing, for watching. A place where interpretations, sensations, understandings are constantly being built in direct relation to what is put in front of one’s very eyes. In this space of the theater, two fields co-exist: the audience and the spectators, on one side, and the stage and the performers, on the other. Though sharing same time and space, their experiences totally differ from each other. A place of many layers, a theater conveys a shared here, whose contours are constantly transformed through the actions and reenacted codes of being together in a place to see. In this workshop, the focus will be in discussing this space and the conditions of its visibility and invisibility applied not only to the stage situation, but also to the public space. Regimes of attention, and the relation between architecture and experience will be key points to understand the contexts, perspectives and actions that make a space be either performatic, public or just private. The participants are invited to engage in discussions, screening of videos, practical creative work and experiences in urban and art spaces.
